Arequipa, The White City, has been declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and it is also famous for its cuisine.

The Agar association will organize the Gastronomic Festival of Arequipa, the Festiglotón, from the 14th to the 16th of September 2007.

During this great feast of the senses the best restaurants of the city will present, through their culinary specialties, the tastes of various countries of the world.

However, they will not be the only ones who will participate in this fantastic Gastronomic Festival. Several gastronomy institutes and their students, distributors and producers of refined foods, wine and pisco cellars, cheese producers, chocolate makers, bakeries, and cold meats producers will also take part.
A world of food and drink professionals all gathered in one colonial square in Arequipa and entertained by musicians and artists of all kinds, will showcase thousands of culinary wonders available to all.
